HISTORY |
MISSION
|
I was born in Moscow, Russia, to the family of Soviet engineers, inventors, and musicians, during the Cold War era. When I was 6, my grandmother, a gifted professional pianist, signed me up for a full-time music school where I studied piano, theory, history, ensemble performance and choral singing.
Since early childhood and later, in the course of my work for the USSR Theater Union (while studying English at Moscow State Linguistic University), I was fortunate to witness live performances and back-stage process by some of the most famous Russian and International masters of ballet, music, theater, opera, and cinematography. These experiences turned me into an enthusiastic ambassador for the arts with a natural appreciation for the creative process and the labor of love that goes into any art production. After I made a leap from Moscow to Philadelphia, I studied law and enjoyed a decade-long paralegal career. However, at the turn of the century, new inspirations and amazing people entered my life as I returned to my musical roots and resumed piano practice, singing and taking voice lessons. Performing with and joining the board of directors of Vox Ama Deus/ Vox Renaissance Consort enabled me to recognize an acute need to boost marketing efforts for the local arts scene. This led to intense hands-on training in arts marketing and public relations as I started working with my first clients, successfully building the first communication bridges between performers, their audiences and the arts media. I am forever grateful to the amazing person Ruth Whitmore Williams, a dedicated arts philanthropist and educator, for her firm belief in my marketing talents, her warmth and sincerity, for the words of wisdom as she encouraged me to believe in myself and became the first supporter and fan of my PR company. |
